General Tools

A number of tools and utilities for handling NeuroML files are being developed as part of this project.

• Model construction using neuroConstruct
  See neuroConstruct for developing models, saving as NeuroML files, and outputting code for simulating models using GENESIS or NEURON. neuroConstruct can also be used to convert several file formats to NeuroML.
  
  
• Validate NeuroML files
  Visit the NeuroMLValidator to check the validity of a NeuroML file. The validator allows you to paste the text of the file into the browser window for validation.
  
  
• Generate code for simulating models
  After validation, the NeuroMLValidator site also provides software for translating NeuroML documents into valid code for use with GENESIS or NEURON.
